Gilbert is a fine observer of the sun… and Greta Garbo
He finds similarities between Garbo, the sun and his ways of negotiating real estate.

The movie actress Greta Garbo was never more admired than when she retired, in 1941.
For some, her absence came too soon – as she was in her mid-thirties – but she preferred to leave on her own terms, rather than waiting for her audience to grow tired of her.
“The sun. It can only be appreciated by its absence. The longer the days of rain, the more the sun is craved. Have too many hot days in a row, and the sun overwhelms. Learn to keep obscure, and your Opponents will demand your return. Make yourself less accessible to your Opponents, and you’ll increase the value of your presence.”  – says Gilbert.
An older Client even asked Gilbert: “Why do I not see you more often?”
Gilbert was short and clear:
“Because the words ‘Why have you not been to see me?’ are sweeter than the words ‘You, again?’ “
