If you tell the truth, you don’t have to remember anything
Gilbert contemplates cigars as rewards for good work for some time now
He always felt that given the choice between a woman and a cigar, always choose the woman with a cigar and this somehow explains his third marriage. One year on his birthday, he treated himself to a $100- cigar at Andrés Cigars. Outside the store he lighted it and took a few experimental puffs. The taste was abominable.
He rushed back inside and confronted the owner:
“Andrés, how dare you sell me such a stinker?” Gilbert cried
“I pay you $100- for a decent cigar and you sell me something that tastes like a rolled-up death certificate!
Jesus, if you owned a funeral parlor nobody would die!!!”
“Gilbert, take my word for it, you’re a lucky man” said the store owner
“Lucky?? With this? With such a cigar?”
“Yeah…” sighted Andrés.
“You only have one of those old stogies. I have a whole store full of them.”
