It was our wedding anniversary
… and my wife insisted that we celebrate this at a swanky restaurant, when these were still open.
We ordered the works, from caviar to champagne.
“Wasn’t this a lovely meal?” cried Marilena when we finished.
“To tell you the truth”, I said while studying the cheque
“I am not sure whether we should have eaten it, or had it appraised”
