Why Move to a More Expensive Place?

Some of you may know Gilbert has a brother, Marty
Marty and his wife Sharon lived in a comfortable apartment in Cloverdale, but Sharon was never fully happy.
Day in and day out she nagged to poor Marty urging him to move to Downtown Vancouver, to a more expensive place.
“You can afford it” she let him have it.
“After all these years of skimping and saving, we’re entitled to a little luxury”
“But I like it here!!!” – Marty insisted – “Why move to a more expensive place? It simply doesn’t make sense!”
For months and months Sharon hammered and yammered at her husband, but Marty never budged.
Finally, one evening, after dinner, Marty came through with a simple declaration:
“Sharon, at last, you’re getting your wish! Starting next month, we’ll be living in a more expensive apartment!!”
“Oh, that’s wonderful!! You have no idea how happy this makes me! exclaimed Sharon joyfully.
“Did you find an elegant one, with views? Is it on Beach Avenue? Maybe in Coal Harbour?”
“NO” – said Marty. “The landlord just raised our rent.”
