That’s when the teardrops start, fella
Door knocking with my colleague Michelle, in Richmond, nowadays
As she lost a $20- bet and still in denial over the whole thing, we are on a mission to find “that” lucky Seller.
At some point, a middle-aged man opens the door in front of us, accompanied by his ten-year-old son.
“Hey guys, my young son here is considering of becoming a real estate agent!
Since, hmmm, you may be a role model for him, we are pleased to welcome you!”
As I see the child, I put my hands on the boy’s head and I say warmly:
“Son, I’m delighted you’re considering becoming an estate agent. That’s a calling.
Now that you’re here, welcoming us, is there a question you’d like to ask?”
“Oh, yes!” the kid says. “When you are not out there making cold calls, what else do you do?”
I removed my hands, and I said:
“Look, kid, you don’t want to be an agent. You want to be a Managing Broker.”
We have a lot of local experience with this and can help you get out of that corner
